Passport

yeah..my very first international passport. i know there's nothing to shout about but it's my very 1st international passport :D. hahaha..anyway drove to the immigration dept in shah alam. reached there around 0915hrs. well, i know its quite late got lost around shah alam with my gf. i was having doubt that i would be able to or in time to apply a new passport. looking at the time it is quite late already and you know the long queues at the immigration dept.
went into the pkns shah alam building, took the waiting no # (2132) and the servicing no # now at 2066. yikes, another 60 over people have to wait. went nearby to have a quick breakfast (20mins) and came back to the immigration dept and service no # now at 2100! i was like "woohh" that was quick. when it was my turn paid my RM300 bucks to them and get my resit saying "collection date : in 3 working days". impressive. roxor for the malaysia immigration dept!

PCC Proton Presidential Ride 2006 # 2

it was an exhausting ride that i could remember. talk about my kiara ride was too extreme for me but hell no this is the sh*t. well, woke around 5am in the morning and prepare some of the supplies that i needed to take with me on the ride. it was a cool sunday early morning when i reached at kajang perdana. the place was full of people preparing to unload their mtb's from their vehicles. the event was about to start at that time around 7.45am.

mtber's ready for action

can you spot me?
took the pic frm another blogger site

some of the marshall and event organizer was given out the rules and safety tips. i couldn't hear a thing what they are saying cause i was at the back of the starting line. anyway it started well and headed toward some 4x4 off road into the first loop. well, it was a monstrous climb at the 1st loop. people are jammed pack there climbing up the trail. decided to wait for a while for the traffic jam to ease off. won't wanna to get stuck there.

traffic jam!

more traffic jam!

there are so many hills to climb until you felt like throwing off your bike and pack home. really i had this feeling already in the 1st loop. and what do you know, there's 3 more to go. i didn't complete all 4 loops but 3 of it. eventually the marshal advice to take loop 4 and skip loop 3 cause there isn't much time. looking at the time the marshall said you got 30mins to complete loop 3 which is impossible. and loop 4 cut-off time is at 1400hrs, looking at the time again it is 1330hrs.well, what the hell i can't stand any more torturing for my body.

the last loop was a bloody killer loop climb (thank god the marshal ask to skip loop 3, heard alot of pain on loop 3), it was another hill to climb. not an ordinary hill but a very steep hill to climb. you need to push or at some point you need to carry your bike up the shoulder adding another 12 - 14kg of your climb. i stopped 3 times there and one of my mate had a bloody horrible cramp on his right thigh during the climb. you couldn't imagined how suffering he had. stayed with him for an hour or more at the hill there until he gets better.

riders passing fast

awesome downhill

anyway it was ended well and manage to complete it even though i did not complete loop 3. went back to the star/finish line around 4.15pm. had some quick sandwiches and drinks provided by the organizer and waited of the lucky draw. not that lucky, didn't get anything from there. haha.

FAQ's

next month i was thinking of going to singapore for a holiday. had a passport before but that was restricted singapore passport only. anyway it is not valid anymore so i need to apply a new one. went to the malaysia immigration website which is quite easy n friendly to navigate. need to download some forms for new application. went into some faq's page of the website and i found one of the faq was somewhat hilarous. i'm not sure about you but i found it funny though.

Q: I had an agrument with my wife and she tore my MRP. What should I do to replace that passport? How long will it take to get a new one?
A:
You need to fill in the passport application and the Survey Forms from the Immigration Offices for you to submit your application for replacement. According to the Department's Charter, the replacement process takes about 1 (one) month

err..what an example of your wife tore your passport off (LOL). c'mon can't they suggest even more professional example? like "I had accidently tore off my MRP...and so on" but no must have your wife tore your MRP. :D hahaha..i dunno it is sound funny to me la.

Q: I had an agrument with my wife and she tore my MRP. What should I do to replace that passport? How long will it take to get a new one?
A: Slap her a couple of times. Ask your wife to fill in the passport application and the Survey Forms from the Immigration Offices for her to submit your application for replacement. She can wait at the Immigration counter for a month.

Kiara Trail

i thaught jogging or cycling on tarmac would keep me fit and in tip top condition for anything. well it proves me wrong, very wrong. entering the Kiara trail through the jogging tracks was a lung busting climb for 10mins. that was on tarmac. not to mentioned the trails yet.

entering the middle cross section (from the jogging track) was an immediate climb up to the hills. it may look easy to some of the experience rider but it doesn't look easy for me. i kept losing my balance when pedaling up hill. quite embarassing moment i would say. ended up i had to push the bike up the all the way. it took me a while for my brain to adjust to this new environment telling my feet and body and hands not to lose control. it wasn't easy and was tiring and had a few fumble down hill.

anyway from where i started with other riders, the trail leads to sri hartamas coming out from the construction site. the trail was up and down all the way and some of the up hill you need to carry/push your bike. looking at the construction site, it is really a sore eye to me as they digging the kiara hill piece by piece. one of the trail was damage due to the soil erosion which I am assuming it had to do with the construction nearby. we rested at a mamak restaurant (i think it is call Devi's corner) and continue to enter the kiara trail behind some housing area.

took around 4hr 30mins riding the trail, suppose to be 5hr or more due to my ineffective right ankle giving problem. so we decided to take a shorter route and head back to the jogging track. i'm not through with kiara hill yet as i didnt complete the whole loop. will be back there again and complete the whole loop. :) total distance travel ===> 16km

how this going to prepare for my upcoming event "pcc proton presidential ride 2006" which covers around 60km of offroad? do you think i would be taking the "chicken route"? hahaha :D

PENANG JAMBOREE 2006

Yeah..another MTB event this coming Dec 3rd, 2006 and I'm going there! Some ppl said this event is much easier then the Presidential Ride 2006. Wonder how true it is? Well, lets see this coming December! :)
RIDING IN RAIN

It was another Wednesday night ride at Bintang Square (Sunway). There are mostly roadbikers then MTB that night. I was thinking this going to be a fast ride which my normal pace need to speed up a little.

There are few roadbikers zooming pass me, i think they were going about 35-40km/h and most probably I was doing 25km/h on MTB that time. One fella chase a freaking motorbike (drafting behind). Anyway all was fine until I felt some rain drops coming down my head. Hmm.. not good...

Some of the bikers abandoned the ride 1/2 way, but for me it was my determination to complete the loop! hahaha :D Eventually riding under the rain isn't that bad at all. You get splashes all over your legs and body. Feels how rain water taste like (if there's any taste) and well, maybe you get to see someone fall from the bike because of the slippery road.
